Leadership Biographies

Eric RichardsChief Executive Officer

For nearly 25 years, Eric has worked within the non-profit management and fundraising field in and around Indianapolis. For the past 14 years, he invested his time in cancer-related programming, fundraising, marketing and strategic planning. His current responsibilities as CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County are to lead all initiatives of the organization, increase brand awareness, oversee fundraising activities, and work with the staff and board of trustees to grow the footprint of the organization around the county. He is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment for young people.

Eric has served on the board of the Indiana Cancer Consortium, was a member of the Indiana University Cancer Center Health Disparities and Advisory Committee, a charter member of the Indianapolis-Metropolitan Rotary Club where he served as President for two terms, a three-term Assistant District Governor for Rotary District 6560, a member of the alumni board of the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, honored in 2016 as one of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s Forty Under 40, graduated in the 45th class of the Leadership Indianapolis Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series and is a new member of the Rotary Club of Lebanon (IN). He received his MA in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University in 2005 and a BA from Franklin College in 1999. Eric and his wife Kristin have three children (Jack, Charlie and Violet) and currently reside in Zionsville, IN.

Lauren Matlock-HortonFinancial Administrator

Lauren Matlock-Horton is the Financial Administrator for the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. Lauren started her career in May 2020 at the front desk at Zionsville, additionally working Before Care at Whitestown, before being able to apply over 4 years of financial experience to the Organization. Born and raised a Hoosier, Lauren spends all her free time with her family, hiking, avidly playing video games, and attending any rock concert she can! Lauren recently got married to her husband Reilly in May of 2022. They live on the NW side of Indianapolis with their pet tortoise, Fleetwood Mac and super-mutt, Frankton.

Cami McGradyCommunications & Resource Development Coordinator

Cami McGrady is the Communications & Resource Development Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. Cami grew up in Hillsboro, Indiana before moving to Indianapolis to attend Butler University’s Lacy School of Business. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Cami began with BGC Boone in August of 2023. An Indiana native, Cami enjoys spending time with family, kayaking, and attending Indianapolis sporting events.

Jamie MittmanSpecial Events & Resource Development Coordinator

Jamie serves the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County as the Special Events and Resource Development Coordinator, organizing events like DUNK!, Gravy Chase, and Tee it Up Fore the Kids Golf Outing.

Jamie grew up in New Palestine before moving downtown to attend Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. After six long years, Jamie graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Kelley School of Business and her Master’s in Philanthropic Studies from the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. With over 7 years of non-profit experience, Jamie has worked with several Indiana nonprofits such as the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, the Indiana University Foundation and the Bosma Visionary Opportunities Foundation in development and volunteer management roles.

Jamie currently resides near Broad Ripple with her cat, Aphrodite. In her spare time, if she isn’t reading or gardening, Jamie volunteers with Girls on the Run of Central Indiana and as the Recruitment Advisor for Alpha Sigma Alpha Theta Zeta sorority.

Ty SimmonsAthletic Director

Ty has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club movement since 2003. Ty has been a part of various fundraising campaigns such as the Strong Kids Campaign, Indiana Health Coalition Association, Indiana Autism Academy, and Indiana Blind Academy. “If you have a heart love someone, but if your heart’s big enough, love everyone.” Ty has two children, Masen and Tyson, and love that the Boys & Girls Club is an important part of their lives as well.

Bridget GriffinLebanon Interim Director

Bridget has been with BGCBoone since 2018 starting out as Kitchen Coordinator. “No child goes hungry” is Bridget’s motto. She also helped manage the Food Program during the COVID pandemic. With the help of volunteers from the community and BGCBoone, our team served more than 11,000+ dinners to our community during a global time of need. Bridget advanced with BGCBoone in becoming Team Lead, Before-School Coordinator and Assistant Director at the Lebanon Unit. Bridget resides in Lebanon with her daughter Kaitlyn (2021 and 2022 Boone County Youth of the Year and Club Kid since 2012) and her Miniature Schnauzers Macie, Gracie, and Monkey. She loves the Indianapolis Colts, Lebanon Leprechaun Basketball, and relaxing at home with her puppies and daughter.

LaShan MabryWhitestown Unit Director

LaShan joined BGCBoone in August of 2023, and has 20 years of experience working in education, particularly in early childhood services, literacy services, youth development and nonprofit arenas. She has experience working for Boys and Girls Clubs of America in Michigan as an Education Director and Site Director. She is a native of Kalamazoo, Michigan where she attended Western Michigan University obtaining a Bachelor’s in Public Administration and a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

She is passionate about children and providing the best quality care for them, as well as serving as an advocate for families. Her educational philosophy consists of helping young people to excel academically, prepare for life and reach their highest potential.

Glenn SanfordZionsville Unit Director

Glenn has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club movement since 1998. His role is to direct the daily operation of the club with primary concern for child safety, service execution, supervision of staff and facility management. “I love my job, and the best part is seeing firsthand the positive changes in the kids we work with every day,” states Glenn. Glenn and his wife, Erin have two children, Graham and Sydney, and love that the Boys & Girls Club is an important part of their lives as well.
