Boys & Girls Club of Boone County Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Sep 22, 2026

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — The Boys & Girls Club of Boone County (BGCBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Eric Kammeyer as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Eric brings over 20 years of leadership experience to the BGCBC. In this role, he will lead the organization’s strategic direction, oversee operations and fundraising, and work closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to expand the Club’s impact across Boone County.

“We are excited to welcome Eric to the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County,” said Josh Dye, Board Chair. “The Board conducted a thorough search focused on finding a leader who could build on the strong foundation of this organization while helping us take the next steps in serving the growing needs of youth and families throughout Boone County. Eric’s experience, leadership, and passion for our mission make him an excellent fit for this opportunity.”

Each year, BGCBC welcomes more than 400 kids a day and serves over 3,500 youth annually across its three Club locations in Lebanon, Whitestown, and Zionsville — more than a third of Boone County’s entire youth population. Over 1,300 members compete in Club sports leagues, and an additional 950-plus participate in academic, health and life skills, and arts programs. In 2025, BGCBC opened a new Esports Center at its Whitestown location to build digital skills for the next generation. Outside the local school systems, BGCBC is Boone County’s largest youth development organization.

“This opportunity is personal for me,” said Kammeyer. “Boone County is home. It’s where my family lives, where my children go to school, and where I’ve seen firsthand how important it is to create safe, positive, and inspiring spaces for youth. I’m excited to join the BGCBC and work with the incredible people behind this mission to build on the Club’s momentum and help more kids across our community learn, grow, and thrive.”

The appointment comes at an exciting time for the organization as it prepares for Gravy Chase, the 10th annual Thanksgiving Day run/walk in Zionsville and Lebanon, which expects approximately 4,000 participants this Fall. The organization also continues to expand programming, strengthen its community partnerships, and plan for its 75th anniversary in 2028.
