DUNK! Raises $82,000 at Inaugural Event

Jun 11, 2024

The Boys & Girls Club of Boone County is thrilled to announce the tremendous success of DUNK!, held on June 1 at the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County- Whitestown Unit. The basketball-themed fundraising event brought together community members, local businesses, and culinary partners for an unforgettable evening of excitement, entertainment, and community spirit.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, participants, and culinary partners, DUNK! raised over $82,000. These funds will directly benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County, aiding in enhancing after-school programs, sport leagues, educational initiatives, and more.

“We are overwhelmed by the incredible support and participation from our community,” said Eric Richards, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. “DUNK! not only provided a fun and engaging experience for participants, but also raised significant funds to support our programs and services for the youth of Boone County.”

DUNK! featured a series of basketball-themed games and activities, including pop-a-shots, custom trading cards, and a caricaturist. In addition to the basketball activities, participants enjoyed food from eight of our community’s esteemed restaurants. Attendees also had the chance to bid on over forty silent auction items generously donated by local businesses and sponsors.

“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who made this event possible, from our dedicated volunteers and staff to our generous sponsors and culinary partners,” added Eric Richards. “Together, we are making a positive impact on the lives of young people in Boone County.”
