If you’ve ever stepped into the Whitestown Unit’s game room, chances are you’ve been greeted with a warm smile, an encouraging word, or maybe even a surprise paper airplane soaring past your shoulder. That’s because this month’s Staff of the Month, Brandon Collins, is not only a dedicated Game Room Coordinator but also a master of keeping things fun, exciting, and engaging for our members.
A Year and a Half of Impact
Brandon has been part of the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County for a year and a half, bringing his positive energy and unwavering dedication to the kids every single day. Brandon supports both Ty, our Athletic Director, and LaShan, the Whitestown Unit Director, in creating a safe and welcoming space where kids can learn, play, and grow.
“Brandon works hard to provide a positive environment in the game room,” shares LaShan Mabry. “He always has a smile on his face and is kind, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond for the kids. He’s a true team player, and we’re incredibly thankful for his hard work and positive energy.”
Why Brandon Loves the Club
So, what keeps Brandon coming back every day? According to him, it’s all about the kids.
“My favorite part of working here is being with the kids and teaching them something new,” he says. “Watching them learn new games and seeing their learning process over time is really rewarding.”
If he had to describe the Club in one word? Exciting! (We couldn’t agree more.)
Fun Facts About Brandon
Brandon isn’t just great at keeping the game room running smoothly—he’s also got a few hidden talents up his sleeve. Did you know he’s an expert at making paper airplanes? And if you’ve ever heard a new, unexpected voice in the Club, it might just be Brandon showing off one of his many impressions to entertain the kids.
Brandon, we appreciate everything you do to make the Boys & Girls Club a fun, safe, and welcoming place. Congratulations on being February’s Staff of the Month!
