This week, we are thrilled to celebrate Kate W. as our Kid of the Week at the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County! Kate is an incredible role model, a dedicated helper, and a bright light in our Club community. She is always eager to lend a hand, whether it’s assisting with Kids Café during snack time, mentoring younger members, or spreading kindness to both staff and peers. Her enthusiasm and generosity make the Club a better place for everyone!
Getting to Know Kate
Kate is a student at Boone Meadow Elementary and attends the Whitestown Unit. While she’s already making a big impact here at the Club, she has big dreams for the future!
What’s your favorite thing to do at the Boys & Girls Club?
“Hanging out with my friends! I love spending time in the games room and the gym—those are my favorite places to be.”
Do you have a favorite staff member?
“Yes! Z is my favorite because he always says hi to me and makes gym time extra fun.”
What do you want to be when you grow up?
“I want to be an artist and designer for board games! I love board games, but my favorite game right now isn’t even a board game—it’s UNO No Mercy!”
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
“Invisibility! And the first thing I would do? Sneak off to grab some chocolate ice cream!”
Kate’s Favorite Subjects
It’s no surprise that someone as creative as Kate loves art—but she’s also a fan of math! Who says numbers and creativity don’t go together?
Congratulations, Kate!
Kate, your kindness, leadership, and willingness to help make you a true standout at the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. We are so proud to name you Kid of the Week!
