Kid of the Week: Nyesha

Mar 5, 2025

Meet Nyesha, our incredible Kid of the Week from the Whitestown Unit! At just seven years old and in second grade, she is already making a big impact at the Club with her creativity, kindness, and enthusiasm.

A Love for Art

Nyesha’s favorite subject in school is art. She loves it because she gets to draw fun things, use her imagination, and create whatever she wants. Her favorite art project is sketching, which she enjoys both at school and at the Club.

Music and Inspiration

If Nyesha could meet any famous person, it would be Taylor Swift! She listens to Taylor’s music when she goes to sleep, and her favorite song is You Belong with Me.

Favorite Spots at the Club

Nyesha has been coming to the Club for two years and loves spending time in both the Games Room and the Art Room. She enjoys making new friends, even with kids who don’t go to the same school as her.

Dreams and Superpowers

If she could have any superpower, Nyesha would love to be invisible so she could hide from her brother—or fly so she could give her mom a hug anytime. When she grows up, she dreams of becoming an artist, selling her own artwork, having a gallery, and teaching children how to create art. She even has a special creativity corner at home where she works on her art!

Words to Live By

One of the most inspiring things about Nyesha is her personal pep talk:
“I am small, but I am brave. I may be strong, but I am kind. I may be young, but I am smart.”

A Special Nomination

Nyesha’s dedication to art and her helpful spirit have not gone unnoticed. She was even chosen to represent the Club at the City of Whitestown to recite the Pledge of Allegiance!

Her Unit Director shared: “Nyesha has been with the Club for quite some time. She enjoys art and is a great artist. She is helpful and represents the Club with pride.”

We are so proud to honor Nyesha as our Kid of the Week! Keep being amazing and inspiring, Nyesha!
