This month, we’re excited to celebrate Jo as our Staff of the Month from the Lebanon Unit!
Jo has been a part of our team for a year and a half, and her passion for the kids shines through every day. When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Jo said it’s seeing the kids each day and hearing about how their day at school went. Her caring presence helps make the Club a safe and welcoming place for everyone.
If Jo had to describe the Club in just three words, she chose Safe, Fun, and Caring — a perfect reflection of the environment we strive to create.
Outside of work, Jo’s heart is just as full. She loves spending time with her grandson, granddaughter, and her two dogs. Laughing, she added that with all the amazing kids she’s gotten to know at the Club, it sometimes feels like she has “60-some grandkids now!“
When it comes to advice for new staff or members, Jo’s words are heartfelt:
“Get to know the kids — they are all special and different. They’ll grab a piece of your heart. Just have fun with it, and give it time — it can be overwhelming to learn at first.“
Thank you, Jo, for everything you do to make the Lebanon Unit such a wonderful place for our members.
