Youth of the Year Winners Announced

May 14, 2024

The Boys & Girls Club of Boone County is proud to announce the winners of the 2024 Junior and Senior Youth of the Year awards. This prestigious honor is awarded annually to outstanding young people who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, academic excellence, and a commitment to service in their communities.

This year, the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County is pleased to recognize Leslie Williams as the Senior Youth of the Year, and Elizabeth Mansue as the Junior Youth of the Year. These individuals have shown dedication to their club, peers, and community. Both embody the values of the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County and serve as role models for their peers.

Leslie Williams is a freshman at Lebanon Senior High School and has been a Lebanon Club member since 2023. Elizabeth Mansue is a third-grade and has been a Zionsville Club member for four years.

The Youth of the Year program is a vital part of the Boys & Girls Club’s mission to inspire and enable young people to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. The program consists of all nominees presenting a personal speech and answering interview questions for a panel of judges. This year, Adam Krupp (boys & Girls Club of Boone County Board President), Dan Patterson (Whitestown Town Council Chair), Fred Payne (United Way of Central Indiana CEO), Katie Aeschliman (Zionsville School Board Vice President, and Amanda Rubeck (Star Financial Bank Vice President) volunteered their time and served as judges.

Each Club selects Senior and Junior Youth of the Year winners to compete at the organization level. Other Youth of the Year nominees include Abigail Stoops (Whitestown Senior YOY winner), Olivia Farnsworth (Whitestown Junior YOY winner), and Gabriel Minor (Lebanon Junior YOY winner). Congratulations to all!
