Eric Richards joins the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County with more than 23 years of non-profit leadership experience. Before joining, he was the President & CEO of Cancer Support Community Indiana for nine years, growing the organization from a half-million-dollar organization to more than $2.5 million at the end of 2022. Under Eric’s leadership, the number of people served from 1,000 to more than 12,000 in 2022, and he served on several national committees and task forces. He has spent years building relationships, forging partnerships, and leading with entrepreneurial intentionality in Central Indiana. Eric, his wife, and his three children reside in Zionsville. He is already active in coaching, volunteering, and participating in activities at the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County.
As CEO, Richard’s responsibilities include leading the organization’s strategic direction, overseeing organizational operations, financials, programming, brand reputation, talent recruitment, resource development, and stakeholder relationships. The CEO also serves as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator.
Branch began his career as a Unit Director for the Boys & Girls Club in Indianapolis. After seven years at the helm of an Indianapolis club, Branch moved to Cleveland, TN where he was the Executive Director and oversaw two units and served 1,800 kids. After receiving two merit awards, he moved to South Carolina and oversaw three Units. In a three year period, he increased those three Units to 5 Units while also leading a capital campaign which raised $7.5 million – exceeding the original $5 million goal. After his success in South Carolina, Branch returned to his roots in Indianapolis and served as Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis for seven years. There he was responsible for overseeing staff of 22 full-time and 90 part-time employees that served 12,000 youth in Marion County. He joined the national staff of Boys & Girls Club of America in 2006 and most recently served as Lead Director where he was responsible for managing Clubs in the Midwest, Southwest and Pacific-West Regions of the country.
Lauren Matlock is the HR/Financial Coordinator for the Boys & Girls Club of Boone County. Lauren started her career in May 2020 at the front desk at Zionsville, additionally working Before Care at Whitestown, before being able to apply over 4 years of financial experience to the Organization. Born and raised a Hoosier, Lauren spends all her free time with her family, hiking, avidly playing video games, and attending any rock concert she can! Lauren recently got married to her husband Reilly in May of 2022. They live on the NW side of Indianapolis with their pet tortoise, Fleetwood Mac and super-mutt, Frankton.
Glenn has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club movement since 1998. His role is to direct the daily operation of the club with primary concern for child safety, service execution, supervision of staff and facility management. “I love my job, and the best part is seeing firsthand the positive changes in the kids we work with every day,” states Glenn. Glenn and his wife, Erin have two children, Graham and Sydney, and love that the Boys & Girls Club is an important part of their lives as well.
Kathryn has been with BGC Boone since August of 2017 after graduating from Indiana University. Starting as the Art Coordinator at the Whitestown Unit, Kathryn worked to help the organization as a whole and see where she could impact the lives of youth beyond the art room. Two years later, she works as Program Director to further the reach of programming at the three units and serve the youth of our community. Kathryn and Paul live on the southside of Indianapolis with their black lab, Desi and cat, Randy where they enjoy hiking and spending time with family.
Bridget has been with BGCBoone since 2018 starting out as Kitchen Coordinator. No child goes hungry is Bridget’s motto. She also helped manage the Food Program during the COVID pandemic. With the help of volunteers from the community and BGCBoone, our team served more than 11,000+ dinners to our community during a global time of need. Bridget advanced with BGCBoone in becoming Team Lead, Before School Coordinator and now Assistant Director at the Lebanon Unit. Bridget resides in Lebanon with her daughter Kaitlyn (2021 and 2022 Boone County Youth of the Year and Club Kid since 2012) and her Miniature Schnauzers Macie Gracie and Monkey. She loves the Indianapolis Colts, Lebanon Leprechaun Basketball, and relaxing at home with her puppies and daughter.
Ty has been a part of the Boys & Girls Club movement since 2003. Ty has been apart of various fundraising campaigns such as the Strong Kids Campaign, Indiana Health Coalition Association, Indiana Autism Academy, and Indiana Blind Academy. “If you have a heart love someone, but if your hearts big enough love everyone.” Ty has two children, Masen and Tyson, and love that the Boys & Girls Club is an important part of their lives as well.
