The Boys & Girls Club works for the youth in our community! Not only do they provide a safe place for children to learn and grow, our local clubs engage children in life-enhancing programs and create connections and opportunities for families. I’m excited to see the county clubs come together for even greater impact in Boone County!

As a family of 5, with the three boys; now 16, 15, and 12 we have always wanted them in and around a safe and positive environment. When they were younger the struggle to find affordable before and/or after school care could be challenging. We found the Boys and Girls Club when the boys were in 2nd & 3rd grade (one not quite in school yet). Then quickly realized how wonderful it was; the programs, clubs, homework help and evening meals were a true blessing! When our youngest started kindergarten he couldn’t wait to go to the “club”. All three continued until they reached middle school and they found themselves at practice everyday! We were truly blessed that the boys had such great people and opportunities at their finger tips!! The summers were busy and fun; and the school years were equally as full! We’ve also had a chance to be a part of the sports programs at one point or another and enjoyed the fundamentals that were learned as well as the friendships built! Truly a great experience

I love the Club because it’s fun to hang out with the staff and my friends and to do fun activities I wouldn’t otherwise get to do.

I really like the Club because its a place I can be me. I really like it here because the staff are fun and its a place I make bunches of friends.

My kids have attended the Boy’s and Girls Club since they were old enough to start going. The staff have always been super with the kids, very caring and supportive, even during rough family times. I have been so happy that the values that are reinforced are an extension of our family values. The peer relationships the kids have made at the club will continue for years to come. The activities provided at the club both throughout the school year and on breaks are well planned, organized and executed. The kids have the opportunity to participate in many things that they wouldn’t have the chance to outside of the club. We have enjoyed the seasonal activities and family nights throughout the years as well.

Since my son started attending the Boys and Girls Club of Boone County at age 5 he has made huge improvements in his social, emotional growth and overall social skills. I do not know what I would do without the support and consistency the Boys and Girls Club has provided my family and our community.
